The Manchester Regional Police and Fire Pipe Band (MRPF), is located in central Connecticut. Established in 1953, the band was patterned after the tradition of the great Scottish military regiments and continues these traditions by wearing a military-style uniform and sporting the Hunting Stewart tartan. MRPF keeps a rigorous parade schedule throughout the year and attends memorial services for both police officers and firefighters regularly. The band has gained recognition for performing with such names as Black 47 and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers, as well as participating in Military Tattoos both in Switzerland and Germany.
MRPF maintains an active year-round training program and supports the efforts of a competition unit. Those interested in learning the pipes and drums, or performing with the band, may apply at any time.

MRPF is a self-funded non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. No governmental money is used. The cost of outfitting a piper (or drummer) is significant. From kilt to bagpipes (or drums), it costs nearly $1500 to completely uniform one member. Parades and special events are often not enough to support the growing membership need. The band is open to any public support. If you or someone you know wishes to help please contact us. Donations can be in any amount and are greatly appreciated.
MRPF is actively seeking corporate sponsors within the business community. Sponsors would be asked to help the band with services, facilities, and/or other assistance. In return the band would help the corporate sponsor through a mutual publicity program. Every year the band performs in over 30 events (parades, concerts, special events). An estimated 800,000 people each year view our performance and interact with our members. We have been featured in print and online publications, as well as on live news broadcasts and Youtube. Corporate sponsorship would also benefit from this positive and cultural exposure.
Part of the band's fundraising efforts is selling MRPF branded merchandise such as t-shirts, golf shirts, sweatshirts, hats, patches, coffee mugs, and various other items. Show your support. Please visit our official CafePress for a current list of items and prices. And thanks for supporting MRPF.
